Oh, I remember the wacky neighbor. I did not forget, I just did not mention him. I'm sure that, in a remake, some homage must be made to said character.

As to the reason you give for the secrecy... I don't buy it. All Major Nelson would have had to do is be upfront about the existence of Jeannie and what she is. As an astronaut, he's supposed to be, at least ostensibly, a scientist and this is supposed to be the kind of thing that should interest him.

I dare to say that protection against abuse of the easily-enslaved is a better option.

I was actually thinking of taking on "Bewitched" next week. And, yeah, that will involve powering them down a bit (as I did with "Jeannie" in this Case).

Things like Andora's relationship with Darren (okay, you can see her perspective, but subjecting him to levels of body-horror is not acceptable), the treatment of Gladys, etc. all have to be tackled.

But, another thing has to be tackled, in that Samantha sprung this reality on Darren on their Honeymoon. Then, Darren was all "no witchcraft" which.... I don't know how that's acceptable. I get how witches don't want to be known of by the mortal world at large, but...
