Whoopee! I've been waiting for you to start your BNW dissection, because I've read the book three times since high school and I'm still not sure exactly what Huxley intended to criticize. Consumerism, perhaps, but that wouldn't account for many aspects of his dystopia. And when you get to the long argument between John and Mustapha Mond, I'll be there asking if Huxley was taking John's side or if he meant for both worldviews to be extremes.

Aside: I googled Mond's first name and just found out that there was a TV movie version in 1998.
